警官肖卡斯因和某些同僚难以共事，辞退公职，成为私人侦探。一天，他受理寻找比果太太失踪的女儿。事隔一日，委托人比果大太竟道谋杀。警方劝他不必深究此案，贩毒集团也多次威吓他。出于警察的责任感，肖卡斯决心追查到底。在老友塔尔朋的协助下，促使警方站到自己一边，终于捣毁了贩毒集团的老巢。
